These blotters are not dated but they are both from the mid 1940s during World War II. These were given out as an advertising premium for use with fountain pens, but they also helped the homefront or civilians identify American Servicemen and Servicewomen by their different branch uniforms, rank, rate, and insignia. Represented on the two colorful ink blotters are the following Servicemen and Servicewomen in uniform: U.S. Navy
