The pictures show two views of this United States Coast Guard Advertising Ceramic or Porcelain Coffee Cup. The cup or mug is not dated and the year that it was made is unknown. One thing about this mug is that it appears that the back side was not completely imprinted with the Coast Guard emblem (probably a blue layer).

The insignia has the New England coast of Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, and a U.S. Coast Guard Patrol Boat. It is blank on the bottom. The back side has the name ''Turner'' in old English and the emblem is marked as follows:

SEMPER PARATUS (always ready)
RESERVE GROUP PORTLAND
FIRST COAST GUARD DISTRICT
BOOTHBAY HARBOR, MAINE TO
PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE

The mug measures about 3-3/4'' tall. Aside from some missing imprint on the back, it appears to be in excellent condition as pictured.
