This spoon was most likely one that was used by Officers in a ship's wardroom. The Navy ship that it came from is unknown. It appears that it may be silver or silver plated. It has not been tested. It has a flower and leaf pattern and it is marked on the two sides as follows: U.S.N.
HOLMES & EDWARDS - INLAID IS The teaspoon measures about 6-1/8'' long. It appears to be in excellent condition with an aged patina as pictured. It could be polished if desired. |
