| | | The pictures below show larger front and back views of the (2) Different Colorful Old Famous Historic Events Bread End Labels in this lot. These old bread end labels are not dated, but they are believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. They are all from the same series. The labels are not numbered and we do not know how many there are in the set. Each of these has a date, an event in American History, and some text on each on a shield. They cover a few American subjects (list below). In the order pictured, they are marked as follows: May 2, 1803 – LOUISIANA PURCHASE TREATY AUGUST 15. 1914 – PANAMA CANAL OPENED The bread end labels each measure about 2-3/4'' x 2-3/4''. They appear to be in good condition with some wrinkling and some wear on the back from being in an album or scrap book as pictured. |
