The pictures show a view of all (16) 1930s & 1940s Drug Store Owners & Exterior Photographs in this lot. These photographs were taken by one family during World War II in front of an old drug store. The name of the store was ''Royal Pharmacy''. We do not know for sure where it was located. A guess would be in the Cambridge or Boston, Massachusetts area, but we could be completely wrong. Other businesses can be seen such as an old Sunoco gas station, a furniture factory and more.

Some of these photos are stamp dated on the back 1939, 1941, and 1942. The others are from the same time period. The dated ones are stamped on the back with the date and marked:

These were taken of what appears to be family and friends in front of a Mom & Pop drugstore with an old Sunoco gas station next door.

We have many other photos that came from this same batch in different lots that have more different store front windows with a variety of nice advertising displays, signs, posters, packaging, and decals. Some are war related and some have an old movie theatre poster. In a few even old comic books can be seen hanging in the window. What you see pictured here is what is in this particular lot. To judge the sizes in this lot the larger photos each measure about 3-1/2'' x 5''. These black & white photographs appear to range from excellent to mint as made condition as pictured.

This place also had an ice cream soda fountain service as well. Please see below for a listing of some of the advertising in this particular lot of photos. Some of them may only be partially visable as mentioned below. This lot includes the following visable advertising. Some may be in more then one photo, but are only mentioned once:

''COCA - COLA'' sign.

(2) round ''CAMEL CIGARETTES'' signs.

Partial large Camel cigarettes display inside window.

''ENJOY PEPSI - COLA'' window sign or poster.

''U.S. TIRES'' signs.

''LUBRICATION'' and ''WASHING'' signs.

Partial display sign with a comic man shaving.

Old ''GAS SUNOCO OIL'' and ''SUNOCO A TO Z'' signs.

''5c SERVICE 10c'' sign with long unreadable list.

''CURTAINS'' window sign.

''20 49 CASH AND CARRY'' sign.

''SUNOCO'' glass globe gas pump.

''SUNOCO OIL'' metal garbage can.

''TIN SALVATION STATION'' window sign.

A fire hydrant.
