|The pictures show several views of this Small Old Metal Jewelry or Trinket Box with a Young Girl. Shown are top and bottom views as well as the inside of the opened box. The box is not dated but it is old. It is only marked ''JAPAN'' on the bottom. We had acquired this box with many 1940s and 1950s arcade game prizes that came from the old Asbury Park New Jersey Boardwalk. It may have been a prize in one of the old arcade machines at the Casino, Palace Playland, or a souvenir from one of the many old gift shops that were on the Boardwalk at that time.|
The box has an imprinted round insert in the lid of a young girl. This may be of a famous old painting. The metal that the box is made from is unknown. The legs or feet are made up of elephant heads with their trunks. Around the box there are raised designs with flowers, plants, leaves, lattice, scrolls, and the elephant heads. The bottom has a dot pattern. The inside of the hinged lid also has a fancy design. The inside is lined with a red felt like cloth.
The jewelry box measures about 3-1/2'' x 2-3/4'' x 2-1/8''. It appears to be unused and in mint condition as pictured.
