This mechanical pencil is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. It is made of a gold colored metal and dark maroon plastic with a gold imprint. It is in working order with a full erasure under the cap, lead and extra lead inside. It is marked on the clip and side as follows: SHAW BARTON
