The picture below shows a larger view of this Old or Vintage Set of Blue Green Toy Clacker Balls With Glitter inside. There were different makers of these inside and outside the United States in the 1960s and 1970s. These were known by many different names some of which were: Clackers, Klackers, Click Clacks, Klankers, Bangers, Knockers, Ker-Bangers, and many more... We believe that this particular set was copyrighted and manufactured by “Method Toys Manufacturing, Incorporated”, of Fresno, California, United States. The blueish-green hard plastic, or lucite balls have silver glitter inside. They measure about 1-11/16'' wide and the strings on this particular set measure about 6-3/4'' from the green plastic ring to the ball. The string ends are embedded inside the balls when they were made. The idea was to clack the balls together, and to do it fast enough that you could do it at the bottom and at the top of a swing, over and over many times. It would end up being a challenge to see who could do it the fastest, the longest, and the best, without stopping, and certainly without getting injured in the process. We are not encouraging anyone to compete. To judge the size, the balls measure about 1-11/16'' wide. This set appears to be in excellent condition as pictured, with no cracks or chips. |
