Lehmann   German   Germany   Wind Up   Swimming   Swimmer   Dog   Canine   Pet   Plastic   Novelty   Nostalgic   Toy
The pictures show a view of each side of this Old Lehmann Wind Up Bobo Swimming Dog Hard Plastic Toy. The year that this toy was made is unknown but it is believed to be from the 1960s or 1970s. The front legs wind up a metal spring and you let it go in the water to swim. It is made of brown plastic with painted features. The under side of the body and paws are marked as follows:

LEHMANN
(logo)
BOBO
NO. 917
D.G.M.
INTERNATIONAL PATENTS PEND.
MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY

The dog toy measures about 5-7/8'' long. It is in mint condition as pictured except for a couple of teeth on a plastic gear. It works but needs to be helped over that one spot when winding.
