| | | | The picture shows a front and back view of this 1837 J. E. MOORE Counter stamped Coronet Type United States Large Cent Coin. This is the only counterstamp example of this name that we have seen before and we do not know the History of the name or company. If you are able to identify this person or company, please let us know. The coin is from a time when many hard time tokens were produced. It may have been created for advertising purposes. Both sides of this coin have an excellent deep counterstamp impression. The obverse has a matron head of Miss Liberty and (13) stars and the reverse has a wreath. It is marked on the two sides as follows: J.E.MOORE
