Usually these were located in old arcades, in old Amusement Parks, on Boardwalks, and other popular amusement locations. In This case they were taken at Washington National Airport. The same young woman appears in both with a second woman in one. These photomat photographs have the logos or emblems for (9) different airlines on the backs. They include the following: Eastern Air Lines Trans World Airlines (TWA) Capital Airlines American Airlines All American Airways Northwest Airlines (NWA) National Airlines United Airlines Colonial Airlines Partially obscured by the tin frame, the back is marked: Manufactured By International Mutoscope Corp., New York The framed photographs each measure about 2-1/2" x 3". They appear to be in excellent condition as pictured. The back easel and hanging holes are unpunched and unused. |
