| | | | The picture shows the title pages of the (2) Different History Books in this lot. The first one here is ©1951 and it is entitled "THE HOMES OF AMERICA" by Ernest Pickering. It has a dark green cover with an embossed lettering on the front. There is (284) pages loaded with great historic pictures and information for each. The book covers many, many American homes over 300 years. There are exterior and interior photographs as well as layout plans. It is in excellent condition with edge wear to the cover binding. This is an ex-library book and has some stamps and card holder inside. The second one here is ©1950 and it is entitled "THE SMITHSONIAN - AMERICA'S TREASURE HOUSE" by Webster Prentiss True. It has a black cover. There is (306) pages loaded with great historic pictures and information. The book shows an enormous amount of items from the Smithsonian Museum. It is in excellent condition with only light wear to the cover. This is an ex-library book and has some stamps and card holder inside. The first book is slightly larger measuring 6-1/4" x 9-1/8" x 1". |
