The picture shows all (8) Small World War II Homefront Items in this lot. There are (2) single Service Star Pins. Both are enameled sterling silver. One is in the shape of the traditional flag and the other is heart shaped. Both are in mint condition. Next is a U.S. Army Sweetheart Pin. Connected by a chain is the Army Insignia and the letters US. It is in mint condition. Next is another U.S. Army Sweetheart Pin. Connected by a chain is the Army Insignia and an enameled heart marked "SWEETHEART". It looks like there should be three stones on the arrow, but I'm not sure. Other then that it is in mint condition. Next is a U.S. Marine Sweetheart Pin. Connected by a chain is the Marines Insignia and an enameled stripe. It is in mint condition. Next are two buttons connected by a chain. One is a U.S. Navy Sailor and the other a U.S. Soldier. Both are in uniform and the soldier is holding a gun. It has an aged patina and appears to be in excellent condition. Next is another U.S. Sweetheart Pin. This one is painted plastic. It has an eagle above and reads: "US SWEETHEART IN SERVICE". It is in excellent condition but a little warpped from heat. This can be repaired. The last item in this lot is an old advertising WWII match book cover. There are no matches. It pictures a puppy under a Service Star flag and is titled "WATCHFUL WAITING". It is in near mint to mint condition. There is a message inside and the advertising reads as follows: THANK YOU GREEN'S RECREATION EATS TOO JOHN GREEN UPHAM, N.D. (North Dakota) To judge the sizes the Matchcover measures 1-9/16" x 4-1/2". |
