| | | | The picture shows a view of this Old Boxed Glass & Plastic Mechanical Novelty Drinking Happy Bird. This novelty drinking bird is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1970s. It was made in Taiwan, Republic of China. The figure works on balance and temperature. It gently rocks with a back & forth motion. It is made of glass with a liquid inside, a red flocked head, paper eyes, a yellow plastic top hat, some shredded cellophane for feathers, hard plastic legs and base section, and a metal pivot connector piece. The box pictures the bird drinking and it comes complete with an instruction sheet. The box is marked on the top and sides as follows: NON INFLAMMABLE

MADE IN TAIWAN - REP OF CHINA The bird with the hat on measures 8'' tall and the box measures about 6-3/4'' x 2'' x 2''. The Happy Bird appears to be in fair to good condition as pictured. The hat will need to be glued on. The pink and clear cellophane material also needs to be re-glued on to the body. The box cover has darkened sides as if it had soot from being in a room that had a fire. |
