The picture below shows a larger front and back view of this 1955 Engraved Amateur Fencers League of America Award Medal. We do not know if the medal had a ribbon, or if it was awarded as you see it here. It could be made of silver but it has not been tested. The front has three different swords crossed inside a wreath of leaves. It is engraved on the back side as follows:

PREP FOIL
RS (stamped marking at bottom)

The medallion measures about 1'' wide. It appears to be in excellent or better condition as pictured.
