The pictures show views of both sides of the Early Metal Horse Animal Figure Chocolate Mold Set. Included here are both sides of an interlocking mold set. The mold set is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1800s or early 1900s. The maker is unknown. They appear to be made of heavy cast aluminum. These were sold to us as chocolate candy molds, but they may also be used to make low melting point lead castings of the horses. The outside the two halves are marked ''4''.

Chocolate, lead, or whatever molding material would be poured into the bottom of the horses. Each horse measures 1-5/8'' tall and the entire complete mold set measures 6-1/8'' long. The set appears to be in good condition as pictured. It could use a good cleaning but that will be left up to the buyer to decide.
