|The picture shows a view of the (2) ©1932 Solar Eclipse Eclipse - O - Scope Viewers With Envelope in this lot. These Eclipse-O-Scopes were created for the Wednesday Afternoon, August 31, 1932 total eclipse of the Sun. The envelope shows a map of New England and where the ''Path of Totality'' of the eclipse would take place, which was mainly over New Hampshire, Maine, parts of Vermont, and of course Canada.|
The viewers were made by Art Photo Company of Springfield, Massachusetts and put out by The Harvey & Lewis Company, Opticians. They are made on card stock paper and have a very dark lens covering the eye holes. The scopes and the envelope are imprinted with much information about the eclipse.
To judge the sizes the viewers each measure 5-1/2'' x 3-3/8''. They appear to be in excellent condition as pictured. The envelope is brittle from age and has wear and tear.
