| | | | The picture shows a view of this 1927 Tarzan King of The Jungle Embossed Rayart Advertising Tin Shield. Apparently this tin shield is from a Serial Play of ten chapters in 1927 by Rayart. This is the only one that we have ever seen like it. It looks like a shield badge, but there is no pin on the back. We do not know how it was used or how it was originally acquired. Perhaps it was an advertising premium, or it may have been made for a plaque or an award. We do not know. It has an embossed lion and wording that reads as follows: THE KING OF THE JUNGLE
A RAYART SERIAL PLAY The tin shield measures 2-3/8'' x 2-1/4''. It appears to be in fair condition with some wear, bends, and tarnish as pictured. |
