| | | | The picture shows a view of all (15) 1961 General Mills Advertising Premium Metal Cooking Skewers With Mailer Box in this lot. It is unknown if these were ordered from a General Mills cereal, or from another General Mills food product. The box has a Sherrill, New York postmark that is dated May 3, 1961. They were mailed to a South Lyndeboro, New Hampshire address. These would have various cooking uses such as holding a roast or ham together while cooking, cooking kabobs on a barbecue grill, etc.. In the box there are (12) larger metal skewers and (3) smaller ones. To judge the sizes the box measures 9-3/4'' x 2-1/4'' x 1''. The skewers appear to be in very good to excellent condition and the box has some wear from mailing as pictured. |
