The picture shows a view of the (2) June 1966 U.S. Navy Destroyers & Tender Photograph Slides in this lot. These color slides were found in a photo slide box labeled ''VIETNAM''. We do not know for sure if these are from Vietnam or not. They could have gotten mixed over the years. The slides are dated ''JUNE 1966''. These two slides are from the same roll of film (#18 & #20). These are Kodak Ektachrome transparency slides.

The left slide (#18) pictures an unknown U.S. Navy Destroyer ship and the Destroyer Tender U.S.S. Markab (AR-23). Also seen is a crane, a pier, and buildings.

The right slide (#20) pictures a scene just to the right of the above image. It has the Destroyer Tender U.S.S. Markab (AR-23) with (4) U.S. Navy Destroyer ships which include: (1st one the hull number can almost be read), U.S.S. DeHaven (727), U.S.S. Collett (730), and U.S.S. Blue (744). We do not know what port this is, but there are more cranes and buildings in the image.

The slides each measure 2'' x 2''. They appear to be in mint as made condition as pictured.
