The picture below shows a larger view of this 1920s George Jowett Institute of Physical Culture (J.I. of P.C.) Strongman Graduate Badge Pin. Apparently this pin was awarded to those who graduated George Jowetts's course at THE JOWETT INSTITUTE OF PHYSICAL CULTURE. The pin has a Strongman within a wreath of leaves. It appears to be made of copper or bronze. It is marked as follows:

GRADUATE
J. I. OF P. C.

“George F. Jowett was a famous strongman and bodybuilder who was best known as an inventor and manufacturer, but he also wrote several books on physical training and trained young people all over the world. He started training when he was only eleven years old and the age of 15 he already became famous in international gymnastics. Couple of years later, he won multiple boxing titles and had remarkable results in junior weight lifting and catch weight.”

“In 1923, George, by this time well known for both his own achievements and his perceptive writings on physical culture, was offered a job teaching physical education in Pittsburgh. From there George moved to Philadelphia, where he founded the JOWETT INSTITUTE OF PHYSICAL CULTURE, later opening offices in New York City. He established a very successful mail order business, for which he wrote and sold booklets with titles like 'How to Mold a Mighty Wrist', and 'How to Mold Mighty Arms'.”

“The Jowett Institute Course in Muscle Building and Physical Culture contains twelve chapters of exercise instructions and additional chapters for super advanced workouts and a muscle chart. This extensive book is full of illustrations and detailed instructions for every muscle in the body and is considered to be one of the most complete books on physical culture by George Jowett

The pin measures about 5/8'' x 3/4''. It appears to be in excellent or better condition as pictured.
